Mature trees are brought in from nurseries and carefully propped with bamboo poles and offset with low level mass planting. This green formulas seems to spread throughout Shanghai and the green layer dramatically diminishes the impact of tall buildings. Added to the green street trees are a series of parks that become gathering places for local communities. SYDNEY AS GARDEN CITY Sydney already has a number of projects that integrate greenery into buildings. The award winning tower at Central Park designed by Jean Novel with landscape architect Patrick Blanc is probably the best example. In George Street near Wynyard Station the Ivy complex has vines and bamboo dripping through the project and leaning out into George Street.
