Shanghai has a large planning museum which is a big tourist destination based around an enormous model of the city. The model is reinforced by exhibitions of various parts of Shanghai over periods of time. The New Bund project across the river is in its early stages but already models have been produced and images of the future city line on the walls of their exhibition centre. At the Urban Renewal Authority in Singapore another massive physical model is offset by exhibitions that explain the future form of the city. The model and the exhibition has become a major tourist attraction.
